The medicines

Semaglutide
One medicine. It acts on the GLP-1 receptor. Approved forms are used, with diet and activity, for chronic weight management and for type 2 diabetes. It slows the stomach and reduces appetite.
Semaglutide is $250 a month. The visit sets the plan.
Tirzepatide
One medicine. It acts on GLP-1 and GIP receptors. An approved form is used, with diet and activity, for chronic weight management in adults with obesity, or with overweight plus a related condition. It reduces appetite and food intake.
Tirzepatide is $399 a month. The visit sets the plan.
Retatrutide
One medicine, still in studies. It acts on GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon receptors. In a 48-week study of adults with obesity, people taking it lost more weight than people taking a placebo. It is not an approved medicine yet.
Retatrutide is $450 to $650 a month, depending on dose. The visit confirms whether it fits.
